Livin' it Up on The Southside

If you were to walk by our home, you would see Eric in the garage working on the "Hot Rod." Chase riding his bike up and down the sidewalk like a madman, and Rachel (myself) chasing (we named him well!) after him, telling him to slow down, and Anthony trying to be just like his big brother.

Christmas Party

Eric had a choice. We could go to see a Kansas City Chiefs game or have a party. Eric picked a party. We had not had one since my 30th birthday, so we were due. Saturday morning the snow started falling. It continued to fall until 5 or so. We ended up with another 4 inches. The roads were slick, and we were concerned that our friends would not come over. However, that was not totally the case. We had 35 friends make the trek out in the snow. Our Knoxville connection, as Eric would say wimped out on us. Jody and Willy braved the elements, but our 15 other beer drinking friends did not. Amazingly, we only had 2 gallons of Bud Light left over.

We had a good time. We had lots of good food. Eric has taken over making the cheese dip now, and he decided to add some gator sauce we had bought in Florida. Everyone said it was insanely hot, but they still ate it! Jody made his famous potato soup. It was a big hit. He boiled 15 lbs of potatoes for it. We had some left for Sunday! We also had little smokies, meat balls, hot wings, a fruit platter, veggie platter, meat, cheese and crackers, shrimp, sandwich ring, brownies, cookies and cream puffs. By 11pm, I only had some brownies and a few hot wings left. Apparently everyone did come hungry. We had a few friends who over indulged, and paid the price, but by 1:30 am they were doing a lot better. We said good-bye to our last guest at 2 am, which was a lot better than 4:30am at our last party! Then I fell into bed exhausted.
